- Don’t settle learning inside the classroom; learn from other people: There are a lot of worthy life lesson that you can get outside the four corners of the classroom. Don’t settle just sitting on the class and listening to your lecturers. Expound your experience through joining organizations that can help you on your chosen path – be it on outside or inside your campus.
- Connect to the experienced people and learn from them: Most of the things that you can actually apply on the real world are the things that you learned outside the four corners of your class. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean that you don’t need to study well and just focus learning outside the class. What I mean is to have a balance campus life. You still need to face your major subjects, understand theoretical lesson and listen from your professor as well
- Discover your passion and pursue it: You all have the luxury of years to discover what you really love to do in life; discover it. Find your passion and hone it. Never allow your doubts and situation to stop you from finding what you love. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Ask your friends or any people close to you about it. Seek guidance and help from them. I’m pretty sure they can tell you the things they observed you are good at.
- Choose your friends/links wisely: Your friends have a huge influence in your life. They can affect your decision making and your standards in life. So choose wisely. There’s a huge possibilities that you can be in danger when you choose a bad company. This kind of company maybe into drugs, alcohol, sexual activities, and anything that can harm your future.
- Listen to the older people: Especially your parents. They all want the best for you. So don’t fail them by your careless actions. They have sacrificed a lot – they have given every single penny for you to finish your college. Listen to their reminders and advises so you would be guided on every step and decision that you make.
- Reach out fellow young people and inspire them: Your life has an amazing story; share it to your fellow. Inspire them to be authentic, to be the best that they can and to keep dreaming. There are a lot of hopeless young people out there who seek help and guidance. A lot of them are searching for answers and solution. Be one of the solutions to guide them.
